ABOUT Wendy Mayes, ASID, CKD
Wendy Mayes, ASID, CKD--a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design-- is a nationally renowned designer. She has over 15 years of professional design experience in the kitchen and bath industry. Wendy Mayes’ creativity has been commended in numerous nationwide design magazines and placed in national competitions. She is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen and Bath Association, completing certifications through both organizations. Wendy has designed and/or co-designed for 5 Wichita Symphony Showhouses.
On the practical side of design challenges, Wendy is a mother of two and offices at home with heavy use of her own kicthen, baths and laundry and manages many of the same home organizing challenges herself that clients frequently request. Much of Wendy's remodeling experience is in the College Hill area of Wichita, including her own residence, enjoying her passion for historic homes.
Wendy also enjoys giving back. She is a founding board member and still serving for The Douglas Design District to help Wichita improve East Douglas Avenue. Wendy is also an Adjuct Professor for Wichita Area Technical College teaching Kitchen and Bath Design for their Interior Design program.
